Yinlips’ YDPG87 – A 4.7-inch PSP Clone

February 22, 2011 by Alex in PMP with No Comments.

China based company Yinlips have announced their YDPG87 3D HD MP4 hand-held gaming device that pretty much resembles Sony's PSP player. The device supports remote game-pad controllers that can be used instead of the device itself and allows for multiple players - as long as you're within a 5-metre radius. The 4.7-inch player supports Flash, TV-out and a camera that can take videos. The models come in 7 different colours. It's not all fun and games with the YDPG87 though - the device also comes with HD educational videos for your in-between gaming sessions. All play and no work makes jack a... lucky guy! Yinlips V902HD Packing SC8600

October 12, 2010 by HS in PMP with No Comments.

Yinlips has a new offering for us, the V902HD. This 4.3-inch layer sports beneath its bonnet a Sochip Sc8600 chip which, from the image above of the familiar UI, is a solid workhorse that will give you 768p, but falls short of the glory of its bigger brother, the Sc9800, which does 1280p. 768p refers to 1366x768 video resolution, and is slightly higher than 720p's 1280x720. Sadly, though, the PMP market is not a game of inches (or pixels), and Pacino's speech from Stone's Any Given Sunday does not really apply here. At any rate, the player will support a wide variety of video file formats - more than you'd know what to do with or are easily "available". All in all, this looks like a pretty standard player. It's not jaw-dropping (but so long has it been since we saw a PMP worthy of excite

X3…2…1…HD 768p From Yinlips

September 3, 2010 by HS in PMP with No Comments.

The X321HD, a new HD player from Yinlips, can play videos of up to 768p (1366x768), immediately alerting us that it houses the Sochip SC8600 chip, also known as the Boxchip F16.  The X321HD (the bigger "HD" brother of the X321) is a 3.6-inch player - an increasingly popular size - and has support for all the standard video file formats, including MKV, AVI, MP4, MPG, WMV, VOB, RMVB, DAT etc. Other than that, the Yinlips X321HD is looking like another fairly standard player. Not great video decoding but not shabby. A solid player all around at the 3.6-inch size range. via imp3

In a pretty bold statement, Yinlips say that after just 5 minutes of the "charging flash" feature there's enough juice in the player to power 100 hours of continous playback. Sounds doubtful? Quite. The 2GB player comes in black, white, green, orange and pink. Playback includes MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, AAC, OGG, WAV and there are 6 EQ presets and customisable slots. 128 Yuan / $20 via imp3

Here's a fun looking player from Yinlips (the company working on the PMP with built-in projector). It has a 3 inch display and gravity sensing image rotation for all your screen flipping needs. It supports RMVB and all the other big vids and plays MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV and other music formats, as well as APE, FLAC Lossless. It's pretty slick looking but only comes as a 4GB option. Yinlips PMP With Built In Projector

August 19, 2009 by Tom in PMP with 1 Comment.

If all goes to Yinlips' plan, gone are the days of huddling round a PMP to show a video, all you'll need is a piece of white wall. So far details are sketchy other than it will have a 3.5 inch display and the webcam sized projector will be able to project an image up to 80 inches. If they manage to pull it off with a sensible amount of battery time this could be an exciting release. [Via PMPToday]
