Meopad – Tegra-Powered Win CE 6 MID

September 21, 2010 by HS in Tablet with No Comments.

Taxan Japan have made an odd choice with their Meopad, an Nvidia Tegra powered device, by having it run on Windows CE 6.0, which is sort of unusual these days, not to mention that not many people actually like that OS, for various reasons. The Meopad (MEO-T740) will run R3 of the OS, is 7-inches (800x480) and is powered by the Nvidia APX 2600 Tegra chip clocked at 600MHz. It's got 512MB RAM, 4GB NAND flash memory, as well as WiFi B/G, a Mini HD port, a G-sensor and sold with various accessories such as the keyboard and pouch you see pictured above. The Meopad is also able to decode 720p videos, and do Youtube video thanks to FlashLite. It's scheduled to hit the Japanese market around the end of October for some 40,000 JPY. An interesting and curious device, to say the lease. via akiha

The V5 will come with a 4.8": high res screen with a touch screen interface. Although specific hardware information is limited, the V5 will have a RSS reader, which leads me to suspect that this will have wifi built in and some sort of internet connectivity. The V5 w
