Everyone from the smallest ant to the largest bear in the animal technology kingdom has now heard of the Motorola Xoom and its Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS. This gorilla of a tablet has been caught on video with a surprisingly different colour scheme as what we're used to seeing - Silver. Whether or not the units sold come in this colour, we're still privy to its awesomeness from the hands-on video. The Video shows all the ports, jacks and slots, as well as an in-depth look at the OS Honeycomb - always a delight to see. To get a good view on the Motorola Xoom, check out the video after the break as it shows it all.

Up until now, Android OS has been first and foremost, a smartphone OS. Enter the tablet, and the Google made operating system found its way onto larger touchscreens, stronger processors and myriad new functions. Enter the most recent Android - the Honeycomb iteration - which, from the Android developer's YouTube video, has officially been announced as the Android OS built specifically for tablet. After watching the video, I can safely say that Honeycomb is SEXYAWESOME! What the OS can do - e-book reader, web browsing, Gmail, Google maps and chat - is not new, but its how Honeycomb handles them, and how they look which is what gets you all giddy. Represented in such a smooth (albeit being an advertisement, and the purpose of marketing) and well-run manner, one can only wonder as to wh
Acer has announced that they will be coming our with an Android tablet in the near future, yet its specs and other info has yet to be released. However, this YouTube video of an Acer tablet that seems to feature not only an e-reader app/photo utility, but also a G-sensor (which is actually used to peruse through the reader) may indicate that this seemingly 10-inch tab is the one Acer is talking about. Some have also deduced from the video that the featured tab is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, but I'm not certain on how they can tell. With custom UI and applications possibly still in beta, is it also rumoured that Honeycomb may be the reason behind the tablets hold back. Aside from this, Acer, now riddled with anticipated speculation, is also rumoured to be working on a 4.8-inch sma
Motorola have released a teaser video, in preparation for CES 2011 about their yet to be unveiled Android table. It has been placed upon a pedestal in comparison to Earths history of the tablet, dating back to 3200 B.C. The Motorola tab could very well be the same device Mr. Andy Rubin used to showcase Google Android 3.0 - Honeycomb - which would then further indicate that this tablet, positioned under the velvet robe, could very well support the most advanced Android software to date - somewhat of an advancement from the stone tablets used back in the day pre-millennium. Watch the video for a neat little tour round the tablet museum.

The 7-inch MID-7AD is like most other 7-inch tablets that seem to be all the rave currently. This particular tablet is powered by the Telechips TCC8902 processing chip - which means it supports 1080p HD video playback and HDMI video output, which again, seem to be what the masses are wanting. The processing chip is clocked at 720MHz and the device has 256MB of RAM, as well as WIFI. It has 2GB of flash memory and supports up to 32GB of external memory. It's 7-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and has all the common ports and jacks as most tablets do - headphone, miniUSB, etc. As for video files, it supports RMVB, AVI, WMV, MKV, MP4 and more. The device also supports word files such as excel, word etc. As for it's OS - it runs Android 2.1. The stylus used in the video
We've blogged about the recently hacked Barnes & Noble Nook Colour to be able to run traditional Android apps, now the messed around device has now beensorted to run Android 2.2.1. The Nook colour - a 1024 x 600 pixel LCD colour screen, 8--MHz processor device - now has all the features of a typical Android phone, including the phone icon - you can't make any calls on the Nook Colour though. From e-book reader to tablet-like Android run device, who knows what people will do to it next - Nook Colour hackers, obviously.

The Sony PlayStation phone has been on rumour status for a while now - not any longer as we now have video proof of the existence of the device. The first video shows it's slide-out keypad, it's touch screen capabilities as well as what the device looks like in general. It would seem like the phone would be bulgy in the pocket, however, it does look like a pretty decent gaming console - I guess compromise will be the key factor in deciding upon purchase here. The PlayStation Phone also seems to come with a PlayStation app that allows for organising one's games into folders such as 'Recently Played' and 'Recently Added' - which can been seen in the short second video. Apparently due to be announced later this month, as well as codenamed 'Zues', we'll see whether this device will be ta

You can see Zii Trinity concept smartphone in action in the hands on video.
Main points of interest include the bottom proprietary slot which can be swapped for microUSB or mini-HDMI for that 1080P action. There’s also a 5 megapixel camera on the back and another camera on the front for chinwagging. Check out the video at the link below.

Meizu may be beating about the bush when it comes to an official announcement and adoption of Android but in the mean time tireless fans of the iPhone clone have worked out the Android transplant themselves and shared it via video.
In another neighborly step they've also included a step-by-step guide for doing it yourself which you can find and follow here.
