After their pretty flimsy looking V1 MP3 Player, Owen have introduced the V8 to the series, a 4.3 inch 8GB media player with a built-in 3 mega-pixel camera that not only takes stills but video too.
It runs on the CC1600 chip, has a 16:9 TFT screen, plays all the usual video and audio formats (including APE & FLAC lossless), 7 EQ modes, FM radio & transmitter, e-book reader and supports up to 16GB of TF card expansion.
It offers 10 hours of video playback, 35 hours of audio and costs around $90 in China.

Chinese brand Viewo have announced news of their update of last year's V8 PMP, the V8HD.
The V8HD has a 4 inch, 16:9 widescreen display and boasts 10M bit stream and 720p high definition video decoding. It supports all the usual RMVB, RM, AVI and FLV video and audio including MP3, WMA, and WAV.
Other than those specs and the visible pink trim, not much else is yet known about the V8HD, including release details. More news when we have it.

First of all apologizes, i never really played around with this player till recently, i am not at all impressed with this player and have subsequently removed it from our store and NOT reordering this, the design, video, audio and build quality is great, but the navigation is just horrible and i do not think its worth being sold, i am almost certain the unit wasn't defective either.

Looks like the RAmos V8 has been released, looks like it was made with a smaller screen, not a 4.3", but 3.0" (or at least this is what the article shows). Looks pretty slick, has TV out and uses the RK2706 chipset.

The first pictures of the new RAmos V8 player are starting to emerge and it looks pretty sexy, only 7.8mm thick and a 4.3" touch screen. Still no images of the UI, RAmos has said the UI will be quite different from that of the standard iPod Touch UIs that most Chinese MP4 touch screen players have been coming out with.
The article also states that the player will come with 16GB of internal memory, quite impressive.
