PMP Image Quality And Viewing Angle Test

We've taken five players with 800 x 480 displays and tested their viewing angles and display quality using the same 5 image files. Here's what we thought of them. See how the Ainol V6000HDS, the Ramos T11RK, the Onda VX545HD, the Onda VX535HD and the Nationite OS-72HR fared against each other below. Ainol V6000HDS 4.3" screen Viewed front on the image is bright and bold but as soon as it's tilted you lose quality. If it's tilted forward the whites come to the forefront giving the effect of a photographic negative, if it's tilted backward the black shades get darker but there's little in the way of loss of quality. Cube H100HD gets gutted and yet another new media chip spotted…or is it??

Some of you may already be familiar with the Cube H100HD, the player uses a new high resolution video supported media chip, which not only will be able to support 1080i videos but also support 1080i video out, something that from short video reviews we have seen, may actually be true. Now the Cube H100HD claim to have super video playback is being shared by other brands also, but each have been quite hush hush on what media chip they are all using. Currently every one of these similar players that have been opened have had a different named media chip within them, the H100HD is no different either.
