With just about everyone in the world coming out with their own eBook, Cube today announced their own eBook, but unlike others, this seems to be a tad bit more interesting, at least so far on paper.
Cube is set to release a new eBook with a 6.0" capacitive touch screen, running on Windows Mobile 6.5 and built in Wifi and net access. This really sounds like a MID to me but with some particular tweaking towards eBook reading.
Cube haven't release any images of the new eBook yet, only the picture of a pretty woman with some of the features that the eBook will have.
Oh and they expect to sell this for RMB999, about USD$147.00 - not a bad price for such a device, but again, its all nice on paper but we would need to get one in hand before we really called this a good deal. No relea
Cowon looks to be releasing another media player in January, this pretty slick looking player looks to run on WinCE 6.0, some may cringe at hearing WinCE, but its more than common for Korean media players to run on some sort of modififed version of WinCE.
Like other Korean based WinCE players, this will probably a have a totally custom UI, but will probably not allow full access to the WinCE interface, its another very common thing for Korean players to lock down the ability for users to fully utilize the wince OS.
The V5 will come with a 4.8": high res screen with a touch screen interface. Although specific hardware information is limited, the V5 will have a RSS reader, which leads me to suspect that this will have wifi built in and some sort of internet connectivity. The V5 w
The T8HD use the same body design as the old T8, however the T8HD comes packed with the more powerful RK2806 media processor. The T8HD has a 4.3" touch screen which support a max resolution of 480x272, about half the resolution as its bigger brother, the T11RK.
Overall the T8HD has a very nice form factor, a nice UI and very good video playback, its certainly a player worth considering.
Chuwi contact us today with the news that they will be having some new players coming out. At first i had hoped it would be news about their new linux based MID that i was informed about sometime ago, but it was infact news on another Telechips 8901 based player. The P7 looks to be on the same lines as the RAmos T11TE and the Teclast T56, it looks to have a 5.0" touch screen and a user interface that will be based around Flash. This is certainly a good thing as it means the UI will be much nicer and far more interactive than what we normally see from similar non flash based touch screen players.
We can also expect there to be an HDMI port on the player and it will support 1080p video playback and 1080p video out. There really isn't much additional information, I will update when i g
More pictures are surfacing of what Windows new G85 players user interface will look like. So far i have been quite impressed with how the UI will look on this 4.3" touch screen player. One of the interesting things i spotted on this latest release of UI shots is the possible covert art browsing, which we do know is possible as it has been utilized on other Rockchip based players, such as the RAmos T9HD.
Overall the G85 looks to be shaping upto having quite a very nice looking UI, although to this date the UI shots have been renderings and no real images are our yet of how it really looks on the player.
The G85 is a RK2728B based player, capable of playing multiple video formats, inlcuding MKV, AVI, RMVB and FLV. It's also can play videos that are upto 1280 x 720 resolution and has
Again we need to thank forum member kelsonbueno for uploading this video to YouTube for us. Chinese PC Online has a 7minute video review demonstrating the new RAmos T9HD, right away from the video you can make out two things, the sharp, high quality screen and the smooth new user interface for the T9. You can also see what the 'active view' feature on the UI is, i personally just see this feature as another bell and whistle that will loose its novelty quick, but it is, none the less, nice.

The smooth touchscreen stylings of the ChinaChip CC1600-powered Gemei HD693T 4.3 inch PMP have created quite a storm so for you delectation here's a photographic rundown the unboxing, UI and of its best features including video, audio and picture browsing.
See the review after the jump.
The Packaging
Simple and effective again, just a logo on the front with the holographic stickers exclaiming its HD nature and its use of Realplayer and technical details on the back.

It's been awhile since anyone can probably remember me actually giving a crap about Ainol, not that they make bad players, they just made the least interesting on the better brand name guys in China. Well that seems set to change, Ainol has announced their new V9000 player line, which are all slated to bbe touch screen based and we can probably assume, have the same UI as depicted in these promo pictures.
The first player in the V9000 series is the HDX, aka 'Megatron", it will use the new SoChip SC9800 chip, we can't give you the low down on this chip as the information on SoChip chipsets in generally is a bit sketchy, but we can probably assure you that it will be able to handle videos upto 1080p, along with HDMI output and Ainol is stating the 4.8" touch screen to be capacitive ba
Finally got round to doing the video review before i needed to send back the player to the factory today. Again please note the firmware is still in development, but all the hardware is quite sound.
Sorry for sounding tired in the video, got the flu, you can even see the clammy sweat from the flu from hands on the player, am off to home and get some rest ;)

Well we have had our sample for sometime, but i only found the time to get this video done now. The RAmos T9 use the newer RK2712 chipset, which is capable of better video playback than the standard RK2706 chipset, but should not be mistaken as being the same as the CC1600 chipset. The T9 has a very beautiful 4.3" high resolution screen, with a capacitive touch screen interface. The scrolling is like that of the S:Flo, a very nice dynamic scrolling, the overall UI is nice and the touch screen is more responsive than what i showed it to be on the review.
We are currently having a bit of a presale, order today the RAmos T9 8GB for just $119.50 and get with it a free viewing stand and a mofi case.
