The super slim Toshiba Android tablet that we recently blogged about is now out in the open and is in fact, a super slim Toshiba Android tablet. It's called the AT200, and it's so slim that it could very well be the slimmest Android tablet yet at 7.7mm thick. It may look pretty slick and is certainly slender, but does its specs impress? Find out after the break.
The Toshiba AT200 - previously rumoured to be the Toshiba Excite - has a 10-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 800. It's powered by a TI OMAP4430 (a close guess from Notebook Italia) clocked at 1.2GHz, has up to 64GB of internal memory and runs Android Honeycomb. It also has MicroSD card expansion support. There is a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front one, and Toshiba claims its battery lasts up to 8
The current IFA event in Berlin showcases a hoard of new tablets and devices, one of which is a tablet by Toshiba that can be compared to their recently released Thrive, but isn't the Thrive. For one thing, it's a lot thinner. The good fellas of Notebook Italia spotted the yet-to-be-officially-announced tablet and noticed that like the Thrive, this new Toshiba tab also sports a 10-inch screen, amongst other interesting aspects which you can find out after the break.
If we were to compare this new tablet to the Thrive, which we will, other than the screen size, the difference are a few. For one, the new tablet is much thinner. Although there's no dimension specs out yet, the tablet is said to be obviously thinner, which makes sense for the new tablet's mini-USB, SD and HDMI ports a
It has been a while since we last blogged about a big name tablet, and Toshiba's big sized (10.1-inches) tablet specifically. Now known as the Toshiba Thrive, this Android 3.1 Honeycomb run tablet was finally confirmed by the company through a recent announcement that also spoke of the several extra features that come with it. These extras include a removable battery, Swype technology and full USB ports. More generalised specs include an SD card slot, an HDMI port, a USB 2.0 port, a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800, WiFi connectivity and either 8GB, 16Gb or 32GB of internal memory. The Thrive Thrives off its dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and should be ready for shipping by July.

Toshiba have unveiled their Regza Tablet AT300 in Japan recently, sporting Android 3.0 Honeycomb, powered by the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and coming with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) display capable of of outputting glasses-free 3D. We're not sure how conducive glasses-free 3D is to prolonged usage, but it is certainly a pretty cool, if slightly gimmicky, feature. The tablet is otherwise decked-out with impressive specs: 16GB internal memory, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, b/g/n WiFi connectivity as well as Bluetooth and with SDHC expansion slots. The tablet measures up at 177x273x15.8mm and weighs a fairly heavy 765g. It should be introduced in Japan within a few weeks and will sell at around 60,000 Yen. It's a solid tablet, powerful and modern,
When we say beef, we don't mean literally the meat of a cow, but rather the stiring up of trouble through slanderous comments. Well, perhaps not so slanderous but rather light competitive comments. Toshiba has now said that their Toshiba tab is better than the iPad 2. According to the general manager of information systems for Toshiba Australia: the tablet of the Asian company is better than the iPad 2. This follows an official clip by Toshiba that mocks the iPad's lack of Flash support. If you're wondering what the Toshiba tab (supposedly dubbed Antares) is and why they're talking ill of the iPad 2 - it is a 10-inch tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It's powered by NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor and it is to launch with Android Honeycomb (3.0). The tablet also has a removabl
First introduced at the CES show earlier in the year, Toshiba's 10.1-inch tablet has been vastly covered. With exposed specs and hands-on videos, one thing remained a mystery - its official name. Unfortunately, this remains a mystery. However the fellas from TabletGuide.nl did manage to dig up a possible resolution whilst playing around with the tablet at the MWC. Whilst checking the device's settings, they discovered the potential name/possible model number, Antares - which could be either of the two. The demo device was also running Android 2.2 Froyo, but the tablet is stated to launch with 3.0 Honeycomb. Other specs of this tablet includes a NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 2 processor, a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800, a removable battery, USB and HDMI ports, a 2-megapixal
The Toshica 10.1-inch tablet isn't groundbreaking news, and we've even blogged a hands-on video about it before, but we figured we'd show you the most recent hands-on video of the unnamed tablet taken at the current Mobile World Congress, 2011. The video was taken by GSMDome's Zsolt Tamassy and it explains how the tablet can adjust its contrast and brightness according to the light of a room. It also tells of the tablets ability to connect to a docking station that acts as a media hub to the TV as well as more info on the tablet. The Tablet comes with a 2-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera as well as HDMI out and a removable battery that is said to last over a steller 8 hours. And just to remind you, the tablet comes with Android version 3.0 Honeycomb and is powered b
We've blogged about Toshiba's handsome looking Honeycomb tablet before, coupled with some pretty artsy photos. We now bring to you a video as well as some further information. To quickly recap - the Toshiba tab is powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor - which has recently lost some of its allure thanks to NVIDIA's announcement of Tegra 3 - has 1080p HD video playback and its 10.1-inch capacitive screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800. Now for a few features you may not know (or know already but perhaps feel like reading up on it again). The Toshiba tablet will be offered in 5 difference colours with black being the only confirmed colour thus far. The tablet will be shipped with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Its multi-touch display has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a built-in ambient light senso
The folks over at Ubergizmo managed to get their lucky hands on Toshiba's Android (Honeycomb) tablet a few days before CES 2011 starts and officially showcases the tab. The device is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip, which is what allows for its smooth 1080p HD video playback from file and even YouTube-like websites on its 10.1 multi-touch screen that has a resolution of 1280 x 720. More of the tablet after the break.
As for the tablet's look and feel, the tablet certainly looks clean, simple, and what one would want with a tablet in these modern days. The back, which has a 5-megapixel camera, also has a rubber cover - which can be removed and customized - and allows for better grip, and will actually hold the device in place when you prop it up - unlike many others that sli
The NVIDIA Tegra 2 processing chip - a powerhouse, housing dual Cortex A9 cores allowing for tremendous power, not to mention the SoC providing high level 3D and video acceleration - is now being adopted by major tablet making companies for their upcoming tablets and smartphones for 2011. To name a few of the big names, we've got Acer, Toshiba, Samsung, Asus and more that will be - and have been - working closely with NVIDIA. With quite a few devices already being powered by this Herculean SoC solution, such as the Notion Ink Adam, some speculate that at least 50% of all ARM-based tablets will also be using Tegra 2 by next year.
