SmartQ Tao Disected (thankfully not by me)

October 13, 2008 by Raz in Hardware News, SmartQ with No Comments.

Sometimes it seems the only way to find out the accurate hardware info of a MP4 player is to crack it open, thankfully this SmartQ Tao player was opened by a far more skillful individual than myself. Imp3.net has some interesting pictures of the inards of this new MP4 player. Just to note, the pictures do confirm a few things, firstly that it has no built in internal memory, it does have a wolfson audio chip and it does have one very large capacity battery. I also want to note that many people are mistaking this for a touch screen player - it is not a touch screen player at all. More pictures from imp3.net Discuss on our forums
