Chuwi Comes Out With Their T-Series PMPs Made For Entertainment

July 20, 2011 by Alex in Chuwi, MP3, MP4, PMP with No Comments.

The T-series are Chuwi's new line of portable media players, each with their own size - 4.3-, 5- and 7-inches - with their names pertaining to their sizes - T4, T5 and T7 respectively. Chuwi is no novice when it comes to making PMPs, but what sets the T-series players apart from their other players is their design for being an absolute entertainment device. Find out more after the break. They all come with what Chuwi calls 'built-in Flash apps' (not sure if this has any connection with Adobe's) that includes an array of basic game apps. The players are also able to do 720p HD video playback and supports most of your common video and audio file formats. We don't know yet what processor they use, and there's not much more on its other specs, but you can check out more pictures of th

RK2818 / TCC8902 Showdown – RAmos W9 & SmartQ T7

November 1, 2010 by HS in Ramos, SmartQ, Tablet with No Comments.

Well, it's not really the showdown of the ages, but PCPOP have done a short comparison piece on these two, mostly focusing on physical characteristics, but there is some performance related information in there too. One of the highlights is the dissection of both devices revealing their "where the magic happens" processors. The RAmos W9, as you've no doubt heard by now, carries the Rockchip RK2818 and runs on Android 2.1. It has 256MB DDR2, double the 128MB SDRAM we saw with Rk2808, and looks to be a solid performer, though not blazing fast. It can also do up to 720p video. The SmartQ T7 runs on the Telechips TCC8902 processor... great for HD video, but Android implementation on SmartQ has yet to be fully realised I suspect... and it probably never will be. It also runs on Android 2.2.

The video above shows off SmartQ's (SmartDevices) latest 7-inch MID/Tablet - the T7 /T7-3G (the only difference between them being 3G connectivity). The T7 is powered by a 720MHz ARM11 processor, a 7-inch 80-0x600 SVGA resistive touchscreen. It has 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a 4500mAh battery; it also can play 1080p videos which is impressive, and it runs on Android 2.1. All in all, a worthy successor to their 7-inch lineup. via clonedinchina

New SmartQ Tablet: T7 / T7-3G

July 9, 2010 by HS in PMP, SmartQ with 1 Comment.

SmartQ are coming out with a new tablet/MID (the 7-inch range really is the no-man's-land for this distinction), the successor to the SmartQ R7 and this time it's called the T7. Can't say the naming is creative but it is certainly straight forward. The SmartQ T7 is coming in 2 models: 3G enabled and not (T7-3G and T7 respectively.) Both the 3G and non-3G model have WiFi connectivity. This devices packs a 7-inch screen and runs on Android OS version 2.1 (which is nice) and will be able to decode videos of up to 1080p which extends the versatility of this MID/tablet even further. The SmartQ T7 also packs a 4500mAh battery *phew* which should provide this device with some impressive battery life times. Even snazzier is that it is being said that the 3G version will be able to send text mess

RAmos add T7+ to line up – adding HD Camera

March 8, 2010 by Raz in PMP, Ramos with No Comments.

RAmos is looking to be the first Chinese PMP to really step it up when it comes to built in cameras, their new T7+ model will come built it with a camera that can record in upto 720p resolution. This is a far cry from the standard 1.3MP CMOS cameras that are normally used. What ever SoC they are using for this model will be able to compress and encode, on the fly, video camera recordings to H.264 MP4 format at 720p resolution. The T7+ will also come with a 800x480 resolution screen, support video playback of upto 1280x720 resolution and will have a HDMI port for 720p video out. You can check out an uploaded recording from the T7+ camera by following below link Via iMP3
