Newsmy looks to join the HDMI club with their A16HD, a reworking of a preexisting model. HDMI has now become almost like a bare standard that all new Chinese players seem to need. I don't think its a bad thing, but i wouldn't exactly not buy a player if HDMI wasn't on it.
The available informtion provided on this model doesn't go into specifics on what media processor it is using, but it will be able to support HD movies, in various formats, including RMVB, AVI, FLV, DAT, VOB. It seems that it won't support MKV and play videos upto a resolution of 768p, because of this, i am actually going to assume that this is using a Sunplus media processor.
The A16HD will also come with a 5.0" screen, not touch screen based, support a screen resolution of 800x480 and will come in 8GB and 16GB a
You aren't looking at a fake picture, forum user MaleAxx has been able to port over Doom to a cheap PSP clone that uses the Sunplus 8000 processor. I was really wondering if anyone would try and port games to this ARM based processor. It's quite interesting how porting Doom is like an almost 'hello world' equivalant event on hacking a device. Kudos to MaleAxx for the hard work. The doom port isn't 100% and the game isn't playable YET, but the guys are working on it.

Looks like the guys over at JXD are releasing yet another new player, but it looks like they are taking a page out of Ainol book with releasing their JXD 991 which looks very similar to the Ainol V3000. The player will only be sporting a normal 4.3" 480x272 resolution screen, most likely be running on the Sunplus 8000 chipset. The player will be able to play multiple audio and video formats, including lossless audio formats such as APE and FLAC, along with the ability to play high resolution videos.

JXD, who has been producing some of the fugliest player to come out of China as of late, actually comes out punching with their JXD 980, it does sport a nice 4,3" screen, certainly not a touch screen with all those buttons around it, but that's not the important thing here.
What really gives this baby its kick is the Sunplus 8000 chipset at its core. which is a combination of a ARM926, DSP and 3D graphics accelerator all in one. The chip can playback, at a full 30fps, videos in upto 1280x720 resolution, you may really possible never need to convert your videos on this player. The high speed DDR cache allows for better transfer rates between the NAND flash and the SP8000 chip, so it won't be bogged down with the same problem of the data transfer slowing video playback on RK2706 and JZ47x
I was emailed on Saturday a lot of new images of the M70 from Chuwi, its their first pictures of their M70, the monster MP4 player is confirmed to be using a LG made screen capable of support 800 x 480 screen resolution, this would be the first MP4 player to have such a large screen and high resolution combination. Although the Ainol V3000 was the first to have a high resolution screen, its 4.3" screen is dwarfed by this 7.0" screen.
Now its easy to debate if this should be still considered a portable media player, 7.0" of video mayhem may not be the easiest thing to lug around, in fact, they could double as a mini screen for your desk. It may be a bit strange for people to take this out on a bus or plane, it would be like whipping out a small TV and it would probably only convenientl
