Skinny Portable CardSpeaker, Big Sound?

January 25, 2010 by Tom in Accessories with No Comments.

It might be flat but it's got balls. The makers of the CardSpeaker claim "puts most every mp3 accessory to shame with its good looks and crisp fidelity." We all know the general quality of the run of the mill flat speaker that's jammed into PMPs, so they must have really done their homework to warrant the $75 asked for the CardSpeaker. Battery life's 5 hours and it comes with the above compact carry case. It's certainly tidy and trendy and if the claim's anywhere near true, a unique addition to your portable audio setup. Delightfully Bad Sony Twilight MP3 player Dock

January 13, 2010 by Tom in Accessories with No Comments.

Seriously? Sony are strangely admirable for releasing this into the wild at CES. One, for their confidence in such a cheap concept (sticking a photo on a dock to produce a product that wouldn't seem out of place in on a Turkish market next to some bootleg Michael Jackson cassettes) and two, for having the balls to show it and sell it. It makes their E-Series Hannah Montana Walkman cash-in seem positively stunning. You'll find this dock on teenage girl's shelves this year but if you can hold off, come autumn you'll pick it up for a bargain at garage sales up and down the country. via pocket-lint Discuss on the MP4Nation forum

Rockbridge Sound Pouch Case And Speaker Combo

October 5, 2009 by Tom in Accessories with No Comments.

This not so pretty but oh so functional device is a nifty MP3/MP4 player case that doubles up as a portable speaker, letting you play your music through your newly housed player. The two speakers on the front are 3 watts each and it runs on two AA batteries. The audio cable is connectible to any player but the device was designed with iPod in mind as it comes with an optional remote control that will navigate an Apple device. As well as all that, it also clips onto bike handlebars for easy riding and costs around $30. [Via Generation MP3] Discuss on the forum.
