ICOO have already bandied about their E600P player, and now we get treated tot he E600P+, a Sochip SC9800 powered 5-incher that boasts 1280p video playback capability. That's 1280p, folks, 1920x1280 video resolution - essentially bragging rights to put it above the now-typical 1080p player pool. The SC9800 chip (which is also known as the Boxchip F10) will support the usual bevvy of file formats (if not all popular and some unpopualar ones) and will also bestow upon this player better battery life than most, a typical characteristic of Sochip-powered players. All in all, you can't go wrong with this player, or the myriad other SC9800 powered PMPs from Ainol, to Onda (which we carry) et al.

It looks like some talent individual has been able to port over Android 2.1 over to what looks like an Ainol V6000HDT. This would be the first case where we have seen Android being used on any SoChip based device. There is a short video showing Android in action, you can't really tell how well android is working on the video, but it does confirm that the touch screen is working.

ICOO's E700P, the newest HD player out of the as-yet relatively unknown brand name, is another in a slew of "1280p" players that utilise the Sochip SC9800 CPU (AKA Boxchip F10), quite possibly the best PMP processor used in the Chinese market yet. The ICOO E700P is a 7-inch 800x480 player, making it one of ICOO's largest offerings and a powerful one to boot. The file format support is excellent, with a wide range of types supported from WMV to MKV to AVI and RMVB, not to mention DAT, VOB, MPG, MP4 etc. It is not known if this E700P will have OTG support, or be able to read PDF files like many SC9800 chips before it, but firmware updates in the future (which ICOO have not shied from) may hint at possible PDF reading.

After many requests and much nagging to Ainol, we finally have their V6000HDT model coming in, we will have them only in 8GB and in white and black colors. The V6000HDT is a special model because it uses a high quality 800x480 resolution screen made by Samsung.
Those interested in the Ainol V6000HDT 8GB will be able to pick it up for just USD$129.50 - that includes worldwide shipping
The stock should be here by Friday/Monday.
Though the brand name is not particularly well known, Starsway are releasing a very capable 4.3-inch player into the throng of thousands there already are. This Starsway A3 4.3-inch player houses the Boxchip F10 AKA Sochip Sc9800 and so can play back 1080p video files flawlessly, including MKV, AVI, VOB, RM/RMVB and even WMV. To be expected with a Sochip player is good video playback quality, decent audio and great battery life efficiency. This player, though, does not follow the recent trends of Sochip players supporting PDF reading and can only read TXT ebook files. All in allĀ snazzy player with a nice aesthetic which duplicates the functionality of many other players - but at the highest level.

This new player from KSD, one of 2 announced this week, is the K310, another 4.3-inch offering and it joins the masses of 4.3-inch players already on the market. This player, though, doesn't seem to be living up to standard expectations as it only offers 768p video playback capability, indicating it is using the Boxchip F16 AKA Sochip SC8600 chip. Not quite up to par with the 1080p expectation. All in all, you can get better performing products in the same price bracket.

Window are apparently coming out with a new player, the Window G90, which will have the Boxchip F10 AKA the Sochip Sc9800 chip, known as the powerhouse chip in the Chinese PMP market. The player will feature a 4.3-inch screen, have the standard OTG, HDMI, TV out, PDF reading (a new standard), and will support the vast array of file formats that Sochip are famous for (MKV, WMV, RM/RMVB, AVI etc.) Though not confirmed, it seems this might be a button player rather than a touchscreen player. Either that, or it will be button+touchscreen, but Window don't seem to have frequented that road so that is unlikely at the moment.

itoos have launched the M9HD, a new button-operated player with a 5-inch 800x480 WVGA screen. The player is being marketed as supporting up to 1280p, as you can see in the picture above, a telling tactic as this means it most likely is a Sochip SC9800 player which is currently the only chip on the market which can use such resolution-marketing tactics. What this means is that the player can supposedly play up to 1980x1280 video resolution. Since the M9HD uses the Sochip (we guess), file format support will be excellent ranging from RMVB/RM to WMV and MKV and all the usual suspects in between. In addition, the player will have OTG functionality, come with a remote control, be able to read PDF files and apparently has up to 6.5 hours of battery life (take that with a grain of salt.)

Its big and it definitely stretches the meaning of portable media player. On sale now!
The anticipated V7000HD series from Ainol has been given a recent news-boost with the V7000HDA specs being pushed around the internet grapevine. The V7000HDA player is said to have a high quality 4.3-inch 800x480 screen - similar to that of the V9000HDA which earned praise for it's quality viewing angles - and will be powered by the Sochip SC9800 chipset which promises silky smooth 1080p video playback, and support for "1280p" which means videos of resolution up to 1920x1280. Thus, the player will play all the standard video file formats such as MKV, MPG, MP4, VOB, WMV etc.
Basically this looks like the V9000HDA. I struggle to find a truly discerning difference. At any rate, a quality player which will no doubt do its job splendidly. Hopefully they've tweaked their UI and gotten rid of
