Multi-SD Card Reader – Looks Like A Toaster Of Sorts

December 4, 2010 by Alex in Random with No Comments.

The Elecom MR-C27 card reader looks great - plain and simple - and yes that is a pun. There are lots of different SD card readers of all shapes and sizes out there, but to be honest, a lot of them are either unnecessary and look tacky. This one however, does not. It looks like a 4 piece toaster, and we love toast, especially when you get 4 slices. This cubed reader supports SD/MicroSC/MiniSD cards but unfortunately does not pop them back out after some time. That would be fun albeit annoying after some time, but then fun again when it happens to your friend. via ubergizmo

USB Cassette MP3 Player Storage Is As Big As Your Card

August 31, 2009 by Tom in PMP with No Comments.

Despite some pretty dodgy graphics, this retro-styled MP3 player has a certain charm, not least that its storage capabilities are limited only to the size of your SD card. That said, with no display trawling through a 4GB card of music could become tiresome pretty quickly. Still, for a cheap ($22), pretty cool novelty player you could do worse. It's drag and drop USB and has simple control buttons along one side. [Via SlipperyBrick]
