Bar Android – It’s In the Name

November 27, 2010 by Alex in Android, Other, Random with No Comments.

Many weird and wonderful things come out of Japan. One such thing is 'Bar Android'. No it's not a movement to ban the wonderful OS, and no it's not a pipe of sorts that's been named 'Android' by some Japanese kid either. It's Actually a Bar, or Pub if you will, that serves drinks and food types. Just as strange (yet great) as it's concept, the bar also has odd open-hours - 7PM till 11:30PM, only on a Monday. Now I can only assume that with all the Android upgrade news, they've somewhat led to a grumbling stomach, what with all that Gingerbread and Honeycomb words floating by. It only makes perfect sense for an Android themed bar to actually serve gingerbread cookies and other such delicious treats. What else makes sense is that fact that apart from feasting, drinking and doing the robo

Shirt Hanger Washing Machine

November 12, 2010 by Alex in Random with No Comments.

Perhaps just a concept right now, but if this was every brought into reality, we'll only ever need one shirt from then on. That's right gent's (the less fashion savvy of us), ONE SHIRT ONLY! The shirt hanger washing machine (probably not it's official name.  SHWM perhaps?) is said to use a combination of humidity, ionization, ozone (O3) and air pressure to rid your shirt of it's stains, grime and bacteria. To be honest, you might as well throw your pants in there and presto, new suit everyday! Until it breaks down - then you're screwed. via ubergizmo

Ma’am, Is Your Chest Talkin To Me?

November 12, 2010 by Alex in Random with No Comments.

That's right, apparently chests are now talking. Female chests to be precise. Japan's Lingerie makers Triumph have developed the talking bra. Manufactured for the purpose of welcoming tourists to Japan by being able to converse in three different languages - English, Chinese and Koran - sightseeing has never looked this good. Unfortunately, if you do not speak any of the three languages, you may only stare. Actually, don't - that's rude. The Bra come's complete with a removable skirt that doubles up as a map which highlights Japan's hot-spots. Not sure if it's the smartest thing to undress in front of strangers, but I suppose if your chest already talks, why the hell not, aye! With Triumph's recent development in Japan's tourism trade, Japan can expect an influx of tourists - possibly

SpaceX Falcon 9 Launch Video

June 9, 2010 by Raz in Random with No Comments.

In case you missed it, the privately made Falcon 9 rocket was successfully launched a few days ago, this rocket could one day allow for people to goto space on a non governement space vehicle. Quite cool. I think APOD explains the video the best Explanation: A new rocket, the Falcon 9, was launched successfully from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, last week. The Falcon 9, standing about as high as a 15-floor building, was developed by the commercial SpaceX corporation as a step toward a relatively inexpensive space launch system. Falcon 9's success follows successful launches of the Falcon 1 last year. Pictured above, a movie of the Falcon 9's launch includes an insect, the launch as viewed from far away, and images from the side of the vehicle which include the separation

3.5mm Floppy how i will miss thee (not)

April 26, 2010 by Raz in Random with No Comments.

Although it may be nostalgic to reminisce the days of using 3.5" floppies, i am am certainly not a person that has or will ever miss them. However if you are then the news that Sony will stop total selling the 3.5" floppy and almost stop all production by March of 2011. If your in India and a few other select markets, you can still pick one up. Although maybe it would be an investment to buy a few of these and keep them in mint condition for a couple of years and then try to eBay it as collectors item. Via Pocket-Lint

Tactile gaming vest to bring the pain – I want

March 29, 2010 by Raz in Random with No Comments.

Nothing to do with pmps, but i thought this was pretty cool. As a former avid player of fps and still a semi part time player of fps games, i would actually enjoy having a force feedback vest while player certain fps games, it would just make the gaming experience a lot better and would really test your skills.
