The P7 is a 7-inch, resistive touchscreen, Android 2.1 tablet that is powered by the Telechips TCC8902 processor chip. The P7 comes with 4GB of internal memory and 256MB of RAM. Much like most other tablets out there, the P7 has a plastic shell with interface buttons on it's right panel. It has two speakers on the back that apparently creates great sound. It's got a 3.5mm headphone jack, SD Card slot, USB OTG, HDMI output and standard USB host. The device comes with an HDMI cable and that is obviously used to connect the light weight device onto your TV for some of that nice 1080p video watching. All in all, this thin, 7-inch, light weight Android tablet seems to be just that - a thin, 7-inch, light weight Android tablet. More images after the break.

Chinese manufacturer Phecda have unveiled one of their new Android MIDs/tablets, the P7, Telechips TCC8901 powered. The 7-inch resistive touchscreen (at 800x480 resolution) is backed by the aforementioned TCC8901 chip, 256MB ROM, 4GB on-board storage, a 1300mAh battery (slightly underwhelming). It has the capability to play 1080p videos, has an HDMI port. However, the real star of the feature list is the Android 2.1 OS, which is certainly something special as most Android-based MIDs and tablets coming out of the Chinese market run either Android 1.5 or 1.6. This machine is supposed to make its debut in October.

The people over at iMP3 have recently reviewed a newer model in the Chuwi P7 series, a 4.3-inch player, and are saying it supports a kind of "reduced" in function 1080p encoding (not sure what that exactly means) but that it is a significant upgrade over the old 768p decoding that the Chuwi P7 players used to use. Chuwi contact us today with the news that they will be having some new players coming out. At first i had hoped it would be news about their new linux based MID that i was informed about sometime ago, but it was infact news on another Telechips 8901 based player. The P7 looks to be on the same lines as the RAmos T11TE and the Teclast T56, it looks to have a 5.0" touch screen and a user interface that will be based around Flash. This is certainly a good thing as it means the UI will be much nicer and far more interactive than what we normally see from similar non flash based touch screen players.
We can also expect there to be an HDMI port on the player and it will support 1080p video playback and 1080p video out. There really isn't much additional information, I will update when i g
