Our resident MP4 guru, Maderin1, has found a nice firmware mashup for the OS-72HR, using the latest firmware for the Onda VX545HD some people over at the Teclast BBS have been able to port it over to the OS-72HR, bringing with it the latest features and fixes for firmware running on a CC1600 player. Should be said that the VX545HD did have the most advanced level of firmware for any CC1600 based player. PLEASE USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Read more on the mashup

Still relatively in their infancy, the emerging third party applications and games for the OS-72HR are pushing on so here we'll take a look at what's on offer so far. Installation guide, pictorial app run down and all the links after the break. First things first – for installing you need get the player knowing what you're up to. For this you need these files unzipping and the 'platform' folder needs to be copied straight to the root directory. Easy. The applications It's recommended a new folder is created on the player's hard drive for ease of navigation for both the player and you. Last Friday the factory sent us over the final hand sample of our new Nationite OS-72HR, basically one unit produced like the main batch will be produced but we use it to confirmt the design and if needed make changes, luckly the factory got it right on the first go. The Nationite OS-72HR is in some of its final stages or preproduction, with just the complete hand sample needed to be sent to us from the factory before we confirm the go ahead for full production, i thought it would be a good time to lay down some facts and figures about our latest player. Media Processor: The OS-72HR utilizes the latest media processor by ChinaChips, the CC1600. The Nationite OS-72HR is our newest player in the Nationite stable, the video review is showing the sample unit that we got from the factory, as the video shows, the sample model has none of our own branding or own customization, but this doesn't mean you still can't see why this is such a stylish player and what a very good screen that is being used with the player.
