MSI MT-V887 Unboxing & UI Sneak Peak

The budget Rockchip RK2728B-powered MSI PMP has been unboxed by IMP3 and there are some telling shots of its UI. See the pics and read the lowdown after the jump. In the box it seems you get the usual affair, with the addition of a charger. The specs are pretty standard, it’s a 4.3 inch 480 x 272 resolution non-touchscreen TFT player with the control buttons housed along the top of the player. The UI seems like a simple, no-frills menu but at 299 yuan ($43) it’s the hardware that counts here and the RK2728B should pull up the quality when it comes to playback. It plays MKV, AVI (DivX 3/4/5 XviD H.264 encoding), RM / RMVB, MP4, FLV (H.264/H.263 encoding), VOB, MPG, DAT, MOV and 3GP video files and MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, AAC, APE and FLAC audio as well as decoding AC3 and DTS
