A few people can say the same about the ICOO celeb image mascot Jay Chou. I won't press on the matter further however. As for the MP4, that I can say is one slim and slender looking thang. The full HD 4.3-inch K11 is still hot on the market, despite the growing demands for larger screens. Perhaps because of it's long-living battery, perhaps because it's slim and slender, or perhaps because it may bring you closer to Jay Chou, who knows. Or maybe it's because it's got the following specs: has a music player, an e-book reader (supports TXT and PDF text format), FM radio, voice recorder and picture browser (for you to listen, read about, sing like and look at Jay Chou). it also has a TF card slot and an H.264 video decoding system. Billed as an e-book reader, the Chinese Tsinghua Tongfang PMC-1200 not only has a pretty nifty 7 inch, 16 million colour LTPS LCD screen but also is happy to read to you and play movies on its more than adequate MP4 specs.
The screen runs at 800 x 480 pixels which should be easy on the eye for reading e-books and text. The reader also supports PDF, PPT, Word documents and other popular formats.
If you're fed up of reading then Microsoft's live reading technology is on hand to read to you in a variety of male and female robotic voices at the push of a button.
On top of these is MP3/MP4 playback, games, FM radio, TV-OUT, a remote control, a clock, a calendar and an alarm clock for the unspecified price on the as yet unrevealed release date.

The latest from Chinese camp Newman/Newsmy is the A16HD, a 16GB HD PMP that offers TV-Out at 1080I/768 decoding and has a slick-looking PSP style interface (pic after the break).
For viewing on the go there's the 5 inch, 16 million colour LTPS (low temperature polysilicon display) 800 x 480, 16:9 widescreen display which supports RM, RMVB, AVI, FLV, MP4, VOB, MOV, 3GP, MPG and DAT formats.
Audio support comes in the no surprises guise of MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV and APE & FLAC lossless formats, all playable through the onboard speaker.
If that's not enough there's also built-in power management, a text reader and a few games to boot.
All in all, a pretty impressive looking piece of kit and a slightly cheaper 8GB version is also available.

The upcoming Archos players have had an airing in France and despite the initial excitement they created, the 2 & 3 aren't really not looking up to as much without their render-pic makeup on.
There's a whole host of shots at the link below so you can see for yourself how they look pretty average without the digital gloss and how the once-anticipated slider now looks pretty tacky.
Still, there's a chance they might look a bit nicer in the flesh and they've always got the impressive specs to back them up. Also, there's no denying the Clipper still looks pretty sweet.
More pics after the break.

No-name game machines are not usually the most exciting things but the Chinese Venus JXD300's PSP-stylings, GBA & NES compatibility and impressive video capabilities make it a little more noteworthy.
The JXD300 has a 3-inch screen and supports RMVB, RM, AVI, VOB, DAT, MPG and FLV at resolutions up to 1280 x 720.
Also onboard is a TV-OUT, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, digital recording (4G – up to 200 hours), MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC and more audio supported, e-book reader and a customisable interface among much more.
There's no price information but with this piece of kit you could flick between a NES emulation of Super Mario and the Mario movie with ease. Ok, maybe the PSP GO's just got the edge on this one...

Newman have revealed their ultra-slim 'pocket TV' featuring a 5” 16:9 ratio widescreen and doubling up as a portable entertainment system.
Gone are the days of portable television that meant carting big black boxes with a 3-foot extending aerial around; the CTV19 is 13.7mm thick and promises quality, stable reception when viewing live TV on the 480x272 resolution screen.
System navigation is done through the touchscreen interface and RM, RMVB, MPEG4, AVI are supported as well as music, e-books and to-be-announced extras.
