New real(ish) image of the Teclast M26

July 10, 2008 by Raz in PMP, Teclast with 1 Comment.

We were actually sent this by the producing factory, but it is of the new Teclast M26 that is soon to be released in the China market. (click for larger image) The player will run on a RK2706 chipset (like the S:Flo), will have a 2.6" touch screen (most likely capacitive also), it will have TV Out and (according to the spec sheet we got from the factory) will have a Wolfson audio chip. The player, like that of all RK2706 chip based players will be able to play hi res AVI (Xvid), RMVB and other video formats, aswell as being able to play MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE audio formats. Teclast looks to be pricing this at about RMB499 for the 4GB - about USD$70 - not bad. Discuss on our forums

First real images of Teclast M26 – Touch Screen w/TV Out – T50s little brother

Teclast has shown the first real images of their new M26, it is basically as smaller version of the T50, but the touch screen may not be capacitive (although this hasn't been confirmed). The player does have a slightly sleeker and nicer design than that of the T50, but the M26 only has a 2.6" screen. The M26 will utilize the RK2706 media chip and will also carry a wolfson audio chip, it will be able to play hi res avi, rmvb and flv video files while also being able to play mp3, wma, flac and ape file formats. It also has TV out and from the below image, the TV out is quite respectable. Most like this player will be out anywhere by the end of this month to mid next month. no pricing info, but most likely will be cheaper than the T50. More images and translated article Discus

NEW Teclast M26 – touch screen, RK2706 TV-out

TECLAST M26 New Teclast M26 with touch screen and tv-out, with 2.6" touch screen (though images below appear bigger???) Nice looking interface, hope it looks like that when its done Available in black and white versions and uses the RK2706 and may use the same AMOLED screen as the M30, i would forget the m30 and go straight to this. Do not know if mp4nation are still of the same opinion about Teclast player but it may be worth a look when it comes out NO RELEASE DATE AS YET but as ever treat this with a pinch of salt, many of these announcements show incorrect details and a mocked up user interface, so watch this space for what this player can really do and what it will really look like discuss on the forums  Original Link
