Motorola Droid Solves Rubik’s Cube… 24 Seconds

May 10, 2010 by HS in Random with 1 Comment.

ARM-powered Android-based Motorola Droid phone which we know you've all been hearing and reading so much about is now doing Rubik's cubes and fairly quickly too. THe phone runs an app for Android which actually takes photographs of each face of the cube and then sends the solution to the LEGO NXT controller via Bluetooth which then manipulates the Rubik's cube. Isn't that something? Let's hope that these advances in robot technology don't lead us down the path of iRobot, that horrible film which bastardised one of the greatest sci-fi authors of all time, Isaac Asimov. Lego Soundblock Headphones

October 9, 2009 by Tom in Accessories with 2 Comments.

Ever-cool Lego is getting another modern-day update this month, this time protruding from your ears. The Lego Soundblock headphones are being released in Japan by Elecom who are putting them out in black, blue, red, white, pink and multicoloured options. They cost $23 and if they're compatible with real Lego bricks just imagine the kind of fun you could have building up little constructs to stick out of your ears. In that feat, your only enemy will be gravity. [Via Slipperybrick] Discuss on the forum.
