Comparision Review: Brainwavz M2 VS Nakamichi Elite NEP-100

November 7, 2010 by Alex in Brainwavz, Earphones IEM with 1 Comment.

I was fortunate enough to test two great quality earphones off one another in a bid to see which one was the better, all-rounded pair. For someone who was blissfully oblivious to the beauty of true sound quality, it came as a welcome surprise when both the Brainwavz M2's and Nakamichi Elite earphones blew my $30 pioneers out of the water and rendered them something of the past, never to see the darkness of my ears again. I have now seen the light, or heard the sound, or some other BS saying of the like. M2 (not burnt-in) good bass clear acoustics detailed minimal static sound balanced stereo clear re-verb great isolation slight noise bleed comfortable in ears Elite NEP-100 (burnt-in) good bass unclear

Introducing (finally) the new Beta Brainwavz, our second addition to our Brainwavz earphone line. The Betas are somewhat quite different from what the Alphas are like. Unlike the Alphas, which have uber bass, the Betas have a far more refined audio quality, with a more punchy and solid bass, but far better quality for high and mid range frequencies. The Betas are more for those that enjoy being able to make out every instrument being played in a song without an overwhelming amount of bass, which would normally drum out a lot of the more subtle audio elements.
