Hallods FH8800 1080P PMP In Japan

Following the Hallods F43, the 720p screen PMP, comes the FH8800: a 1080p player which doesn't one-up the F43 and instead just sports a regular 4.3 inch 800 x 480 resolution. Playback includes MPEG-4, FLV, H.264, AVI, RMVB, MOV, VOB, DAT, WMV, MKV, ASF, TS and 3GP videos and WMA, MP3, AAC, FLAC, APE, WAV and OGG audio files. Output's at least via HDMI and it's equipped with USB OTG. If it's not the screen you'd hope it has another trick hidden up its sleeve as the 16GB model costs a whopping 26,000 Yen / $289. via pmptoday

Japanese 1280 x 720P Resolution Hallods 4.3 Inch PMP

The Japanese Hallods F43 sports a 4.3 inch screen with a 1280x720p resolution. Whether this will make a huge difference on such a small display is debatable but it's still pretty cool. It supports HD videos and all the usual file formats and can take SDHC card expansion up to 16GB to compliment its 8GB onboard storage. [Via AkihabaraNews] Discuss on the MP4Nation forum.
