Energy Sistem 9 Inch PMP For Lefties

January 19, 2010 by Tom in PMP with No Comments.

There are a couple of things that stand out about the European Energy Sistem PMP. The first is the big 9 inch screen which has got to be an acquired taste in portable media players, and two is the menu selection buttons on the left hand side, meaning it could be the saving grace for those left handed people with their naturally quicker ands stronger thumb itching to navigate. It comes with a DVB-T TV tuner, supports DivX, Xvid, AVI, MPG and MP3/WAV and has a built in stereo speaker set. It measures 265 x 32 x 155mm, costs 133 Euros / $189 and is available in March. via generationmp3

Pocketables.net has reported that some factory fresh Viliv S5 Premium MID units have been shipped with dangerous viruses sat on the hard drive. These include kinza.exe, win32.QQrob-32 and ActMon-Pro, and no explaination has been given. There are plenty of clean units around but should you get a bad one there are plenty of free MID antivirus utilities online that will nurse it back to health. Via Pocketables

Energy Sistem 30xx series PMP to use Rockchip

May 14, 2009 by Raz in PMP with No Comments.

Energy Sistem, a European PMP company, is coming out with a new multicolored series of players. The players do come with a rather stylish look to them and will even support upto 16GB of internal memory. This small 1.8" screen player looks to be priced at a rather high US$149 for the 16GB, which for the same price you can get a lot bigger and better players with the same amount of internal memory. The 30xx series does seem to indicate that they will have Microsoft Playfx, which pretty much indicates that they will be running on a Rockchip media chip, from the options in the UI pictures, we assume that it will be using the RK2706, so this overpriced rainbowesque player will have some good sound quality.
