Welcome To The Celebrity Earbud Stage…Lil Wayne!

January 19, 2010 by Tom in Accessories with 11 Comments.

Live Nation must have seen how well Monster Cable are doing with their rapper/pop star endorsements so have jumped on the bandwagon with a series of custom earbuds, the first of which come from  acclaimed rapper Lil Wayne, or Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. to his mother. By ChipChick's account they sound pretty good, feel good (with the cable mimicking the look and feel of a sneaker lace) and will retail for around $20. That's massively below Monster's huge prices so these and their 10mm driver might be a little more disposable. Other Live Nation artists such as Shakira are rumoured to follow suit as the music industry continues to decline and merch makes up for the CDs that once were. via chipchick

Sony-Ericsson’s ‘World-Changing’ “SensMe Control” Earbuds

September 22, 2009 by Tom in Accessories with No Comments.

After Sony-Ericsson's much hyped talk of forever changing the way you listen to music, here is the result. It's their buttonless "Motion Activated" MH907 earbuds that use "SensMe Control" tech. In short this means that when you pop them in your ears your music will start and if you take one out it'll pause what you're listening to. It's not quite the groundbreaking innovation to live up to the hype but if you're interested they work with any Fast Port equipped phone and cost around $60. [Via Engadget] Discuss on our forum.
