The popular polish PC pebsite website pclab.pl has done an epic review comparing our Brainwavz B2s with Creative's Aurvana In-Ear3 IEMs, with the B2s coming out on top! The Creative Ziio 7 tablet gets an Android update to version 2.2 (FroYo) that should be made available sooner than we thought - this Friday. Creative are also planning on coming out with a 10-inch model of the Ziio tablet by April and speculations point towards Honeycomb - nothing official has been stated yet though. The Creative Ziio 7's FroYo update brings bonuses to the tablet such as being able to install apps on external storage as well as its internal memory. You'll also be able to view pages in desktop and mobile mode, and the tablet's security is also strengthened by a new numeric-pin or alpha-numeric password option. There's also a text-to-speech feature. Updates are nice, and so is a bowl of fruity yoghurt.

The Creative Ziio 7 tablet that launched late last year originally came with Android 2.1 Eclair. According to Creative's official Facebook page, an upgrade to Android 2.2 FroYo is to be made available in the next couple of weeks for certain countries. The Ziio 7 isn't the only Creative tablet to be getting an Android 2.2 update package. The Ziio 10 - a 10-inch tablet that also originally came with Android 2.1 - gets its Android 2.2 upgrade sometime in April. With that said, Android 2.2 Ziio 7 tablets are already available to Asian and European customers, however there's no word yet on when American customers will be getting their Android 2.2 upgrade. Just to spruce you up on what the Creative Ziio 7 packs - It's powered by a 1GHz ZiiLABS ZMS-08 processor, sports a 7-inch screen with a
Creative's 7-inch and 10-inch tablets have been around the news for some time - and that includes our blog news. This piece of news however is to announce Creative's Ziio 10's confirmation through the FCC. However, what we failed to mention before hand, was the fact that the Ziio 7 was actually ahead in line, and so has already passed through the FCC, confirming it's status in the tablet market. To give you a quick reminder on what the Ziio 10 is - it's a 10-inch, low-colour, 1024 x 600 resolution tablet that has 1080p HDMI video playback and is marketed for it's great video and audio playback. It also runs Android 2.1 - but apparently, and unfortunately, does not have access to the Google market place. That's quite a bit of a shame..

Creative's Ziio 7 is a tablet we've spoken about before. This blog however is to state it's arrival into the European tablet/MID market. To remind you on what the Ziio 7 is again, the Ziio 7 is a Google Android 2.1 tablet that has a 7-inch capasitive touchscreen with high colour resolution of 800 x 480. It is powered by the Zii0 Lab's ZMS-08 media processing chip, and has an HDMI output as well as a front camera. With it's release into the European market, the Ziio 7 is actually marketed at slightly affordable price for both it's 8GB model and it's 16GB model. As for it's US release however, it is still uncertain as to how much it will sell for, it it is even going to be sold there at all. Although, the fact that the device has passed through the FCC website could indicate that Creativ
We now have a well put video showcasing the recently blogged Creative Ziio 7-inch touchscreen tablet. To recap on the specs of the Ziio 7 - it has a high-colour 800 x 480 resistant touchscreen, uses an X-Fi audio processor merged together with apt-X's new audio codec system. This reduces Bluetooth lag almost completely so wireless listening becomes a walk in the park. It uses a Zii ZMS-08 chip that can decode 1080p via it's HDMI outport as well as a front camera. Creative have also come out with the Ziio 10 - a 10 inch version that has a low-colour 1024 x 600 resistant touchscreen, also featured in the linked blog.
In terms of the video review, despite the unfortunate angle and distance, the reviewer does a pretty decent explanation of what the Ziio 7 does and how it performs
The tablet market is a market that most companies are trying to get their foot in and Creative is no exception. Much like the Apple trend and other popularized large screen players, Creative have come out with two large sized models - 7-inch and 10-inch - I suppose if longer legged models work on the catwalk, bigger screened models work in the tech industry. The Ziio 7 which is at a high-colour 800 x 480 and Ziio 10 at a low-colour 1024 x 600 (names states size) uses X-Fi audio processing merged with apt-X's new audio codec allowing for high quality audio over Bluetooth with reduced lag - perfect for wireless headphones and speakers. Another interesting aspect is that both models use resistant touchscreens instead of capacitive, bringing back the ol' stylus - possibly for cost reasons?
The good folks over at iMP3 have reviewed the Creative Aurvana X-Fi, which is looking pretty large and pretty solid. The set is noted to not be designed to but pressure on the ears making wearing them for lengthy times viable. While the reveiwer is tentative to say that this set of headphones is high-end, he does conclude by saying that they are of very good quality, have great active ambient noise reduction as well as audio enhancement features, including 3D.
However, let's face it. These things are pretty ugly.

Touted as a prototype, Creative and ZiiLabs have shown off their latest Zii hardware including the snazzy looking phone above.
It promises full HD 1080P playback via HDMI, OpenGL 2.0 accelerated gaming and support for Android OS and ZiiLabs' Plazma software.
The innards sound nice and the show casing looks ok too. ZiiLabs have been busy beavering away on a host of other project too including their Blu-Ray quality chip, a pocket synth and a 360 degree camera.

The Android 1.6 installer for the Creative Zii Egg has been released today and demoed on video.
There are a few bugs to iron out including the camera which doesn't work and visible code.
While there may still be a long way to go every release is a step closer to a sweet Android contender.
