Here's part one of a look at the Beta Brainwavz earphones where we'll look at what's in the box and how they perform as newborns before they're burned in.

Inside the nice box you get the headphones and a great selection of tips and accessories, all nicely packaged in an almost sterile looking sealed plastic pouch. (Also in the box is a Mifo brand case and cable-winder which I didn't find until I'd taken the composite photos below. Whoops. Still, they get their own pics later).
The Headphones
In terms of construction and looks, these are a really nice.
The earphones themselves have a classic black and silver style which accommodates any of the tips whether you choose to go with the orange, black or white colours.
The 1.2m cable feels strong
The Beta Brainwavz have been getting some European attention, including this review on Spanish PMP site, Reproductor MP3.

The guys over at Generation MP3 got their hands on a pair of our Beta Brainwavz and have put them through the paces, thankfully they seem to have genuinly liked the Betas, giving them a 4/5 stars. The review is detailed but it is in French, you can check the google translate version, but some of the meaning looks to have been lost in translation ;)

Alright just got the first Black color versions of the Betas in, small sample batch for me to confirm the design and stuff.
BTW the mention of 'Black Edition' is just a reference to the color and nothing else, currently all production versions of the Beta will be produced in Black with later models also coming in White.
