"TeamViewer connects to any PC or server around the world within a few seconds. You can remote control your partner's PC as if you were sitting right in front of it." Team Viewer is a popular remote desktop applicationĀ - what's special about it? Well, it's version 6 beta runs on Android, but that's not the special part. We've just verified that it works on the MIDnite and have put it through some warm-up paces - it seems to do quite well, sans the minor lag that we very much expected. In the coming days we'll try to get a proper write-up of how this thing works on the MIDnite - so far, it plays nice with a Windows XP computer, but let's try and really put it through its paces. Anyway, more soon. In the mean time, you can grab Team Viewer for Android here.

It's seems to be quite a mystery as to how to change the resolution on a lot of Android tablets. We've finally managed to find some help on being able to watch your videos in any resolution you gosh darn want. All it takes it to simply download an app. Yup, it's that simple. The recently released app allows you to change the pixel density on your device, and was created by XDA member ex87. Despite the app not being 100% complete yet, it's still a big help. You can find more info on the app form the via link below.

So you've got your MIDnite now, eh? You take it everywhere and are a keen mobile internet-eer, checking your email while on the go, either round the block with the dog, in the bed vegging it up, or on the train to the office. What apps do you need, though? Here I detail five Android apps that, while not essential, I believe greatly benefit the ease of basic operation on your MIDnite device, through customisation and quick-hit shortcuts that you are bound to use day-in-day-out. We'll look at desktop customisation, replete with widgets galore; we'll look at rotating the screen with hair-trigger shortcuts so you don't have to exit your favourite app in order to do so! We'll look at the best web browsing available, as well as a smart task bar that lets you assign shortcuts and kill tasks a
The above video shows off the Dashwire app for Android - it allows you to transfer files over WiFi simply by dragging and dropping it from your desktop/folder into your web browser. All file format supports are supported and your transfers are protected by a unique session pin. All very cool. If you don't have access to a WiFi connection you can also do it over 3G. Very cool indeed.

Today we'll be looking at the Aldiko e-book reader app for Android on our generic 7-inch, Android 1.5, RK2808 MID. Let's get reading.
The Skinny
Aldiko is an e-book reader app for Android, its default package coming preloaded with two books: Sun Tzu's Art of War and H. G. Wells' The Invisible Man, arguably two classics and both classics for entirely different reasons. But to refrain from delving into my thoughts on the two preloaded books, we'll look at Aldiko's ability to download books from databases such as Feedbooks where there are thousands upon thousands of public domain as well as free self-published e-books, so quality will wildly vary.
Browsing the book databases is easy, as you can search for a particular title or sort by popularity, author or genre/category. As of
Bebbled is a puzzle game that is far, far more difficult than it at first seems. It's also good and well thought out game that is fairly addictive and a great way to kill a bit of time waiting for the bus. Today we look at this app on our Android 1.5 MID using the Rockchip RK2808 chip. Let's get the bebs rolling.
The Skinny
The goal of the game is simply to match the coloured orbs and then break them once they are in groups of 3 or more. The larger the group the more points you get. It's simple really. It's just a breaker game. You could spend hours and hours playing in one of the two campaigns available, with 18 and 15 levels respectively giving you a total of 33 levels of potential fun-time-wasting. There is also a freestyle mode where you can customize the settings of th
3 (Cubed) puts an interesting (3D) spin on the music player experience, to say the least. The app is a music player with unique 3D modes of browsing by using your album cover art. Today I'll be reviewing the app on Android 1.5 running on an MID which uses the Rockchip RK2808 chip. Let's get started.
The skinny is that this app could replace your standard music player app. It offers all the standard features, including playlists, shuffle functionality and searching for tracks or artists. But what this app has over any standard music player app is that it is fun to use, looks cool and generally puts a nice twist on browsing for songs, one that is welcome in my books. It's a cool app - I'd use it everyday.
Of note is that the app has the ability to grab album art for you if you ar
Dropbox, the file sharing and backup service, has unboxed an Android app, along with a iPad native iteration of its iPhone app as well as launching a mobile API meaning that other apps are able to hook into the services that Dropbox offers. Pretty snazzy, no? The Android app will include access to download your files, as well as the ability to stream audio and video content from Dropbox's servers directly. With the iPad app, the new mobile API means that you'll no longer have to sync through iTunes (thank the deities).

The people over at Engadget were lucky enough to get their hands on a new web browser for Android, the Skyfire 2.0 beta. This browser definitely looks impressive, not only does it seem to out perform the standard Chrome lite browser than Android comes with but it even looks to trump the Opera Mini 5 beta browser. Watch the video after the jump to see how well it performs.
I can't say that i have any problems with using Chrome Lite, to date its the best mobile browser i have ever used, but i am certainly going to jump ship to Skyfire once it becomes widely available for download.

This app was brought to our attention by forum member olafvdkruk, it's quite a nice app that you can download and load onto your Gemei H693T, it's certainly an improvement on the normal image viewer. Watch the video after the jump along with the download link.
