Aigo AigoPad N700 To Receive Hardware Upgrade?

February 23, 2011 by HS in Aigo, Android Tablet, Tablet with No Comments.

The AigoPad N700 may be receiving a hardware update, which is always welcomed. It seems Aigo don't want to fall behind the tech curve - their AigoPad N700 that we saw showcased at CES last year ran a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor clocked at 600MHz. Now, the 7-inch tablet may be getting a dual-core processor, which should help it out in multitasking as well as bring it more "up-to-date" in terms of tablet tech. Also rumoured is that the N700 will have a capacitive screen that will rival the iPad's in look and feel - but we're not entirely sold on that one. It's not outside the realm of possibility, as Aigo do make some damn fine products, but citing the iPad as some kind of comparison point is par for the course. It was rumoured back at CES that the N700 would get an update to Android 2.2 fr

Video: Aigo AigoPad N700 At CES

January 13, 2011 by HS in Tablet, Video with 2 Comments.

The above  video, captured by Charbax of ARMDevices at CES,  shows off the Aigo AigoPad N700 - a 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor. It looks smooth and is responsive, with its 2-point multitouch capacitive touchpanel. Other specs include 512MB RAM, built-in 3G (via SIM slot) that supports CDMA2000 and EVDO. It's got a customised UI as well, which looks pretty snazzy, though I am not a fan of the red and black theme. The Aigo AigoPad N700 does look good - it's sleek, slim and generally has a nice aesthetic to it. It runs Angry Birds very smoothly (though that's hardly the end-all of performance benchmarks) and also comes with MicroSD expansion, presumably up to 16 or 32GB depending on what the firmware allows for. Supposedly an upgrade to Android 2

Aigo With 1280×768 8-Incher

September 20, 2010 by HS in PMP with No Comments.

Aigo's latest PMP, an 8-inch device sports a screen resolution of 1280x768, which may be the highest we've seen on a similarly sized device. This may even be higher than many 10-inch devices (such as tablets) as they usually sport lowly, in comparison, 1024x600 resolutions. The high resolution is exciting because it implies greater visual clarity and quality, so long as the files you choose to play are up to standard. The Aigo DPF882D can play HD videos up to 720p, supporting array of video file formats on offer, along with 1080i HDMI-out and a microSD expansion slot for up to 32GB of extra storage. It's quite the player, and sure to be pricey considering the well known Aigo name attached. via imp3

June 15, 2010 by HS in Tablet with No Comments.

Since the official announcement of the impending release of the various AigoPad MID products, we thought it pertinent to provide you with some necessary details about the various models on offer, as it can all get quite confusing and they all look fairly different from one another. The release of the AigoPad was announced with two series of new models incoming: the E series and the N series. The previously released (May) N520 and E500 models won't be delved into. Let's get into the new ones. The AigoPad N701 Pictured above is the AigoPad N701, a 7-inch MID (with an interesting-looking aspect ration - perhaps less video-oriented than Aigo's other AigoPad models) that runs on Android 2.0 - although a future up date supposedly in the works (rumour) to bring this to Android 2.2 (Fr
