The uber thin Newman A18HD is 9.8mm at its thickest point and as reported last month has a 5 inch screen.
Newman have released sizes and prices now, as well as some other handy facts.
It's not a touchscreen and judging by the list of games (Super Bubble Bobble and Gold Miner) it more than likely does use the CC1600 chipset as predicted.
Its 16 million colour LTPS screen plays back 720P video and supports RM, RMVB, AVI and FLV with TV-Out.
Audio's all the regluars and has software rendered 3D sound, a text reader, photo browsing and more.
The 8GB costs 599 yuan ($87) and the 16GB's 799 yuan ($117)

Newman, a company that seems to have a serious phobia for touch screens, is yet again releasing a rather nice and thin player. At its thickest point the player is only 9.8mm thick, pretty impressive consider that it has a 5.0" LTPS screen. I am assuming that this anorexic player will be using the CC1600 chipset, which mean it can handle avi movies upto 1280 x 720 resolution.
Now although this looks like a good player, we're not going to get it, don't get me wrong i like CC1600 players, like our Nationite OS-72HR, but Newman has a bad habit of not releasing any firmware updates for their players, which really isn't going to cut it for us.
The A18HD will is out (or will be soon) in China, no word on pricing or what memory size variations this will come in.
