Its being reported that 1000 taxis in Taiwans capital city of Taipei are to get WiMax enabled MID’s. The MID’s aren’t intended for the driver, but are for the customers to use. Taiwans main cab company is partnering with Vmax to provide these MID as a trial basis to see how customers find them.
The Eston N97 runs on a 624MHZ Marvell PXA303 processor, a 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen, Android 1.5 OS, Wi-Fi, a 2800mAh battery which will give about 4hrs on usage.
Engadget is reporting that over 50 tablets will launch this year that will all use an ARM processor. Well i figured there would be this onslaught. I think the 50 that Engadget refers to are coming from larger, more established companies, i expect there to be many more than just 50 ARM tablets coming out [...]

The people over at Shanzai were able to get their hands on a new INKIA 500, an Atom based MID, with a 5″ touch screen and Windows XP OS.
Some of you may know that CeBit is currently underway in Germany, its another convention for companies, including Chinese manufacturers to show off their latest wares. HiVision from Shenzhen displayed an interesting 7.0″ Android tablet, JKKMobile was lucky enough to get a quick video of it in action.

Taiwans, Foxconn, the same company that makes the iPhone for Apple, is releasing a budget Android tablet aimed at the China market and priced for $100 called the iWonder.
