From Bando comes this weird, weird device - the Leisure Eyes Cover.
It's designed to be comfortable, cover your eyes and provide you music via the two built-in speakers.
It's for relaxation, plane journeys and the like. It even looks like it could be quite comfortable but design-wise it leaves a lot to be desired.
Out now for $16 (meaning the speakers are probably aren't up to much).

Another VX series, another dose of full HD from Onda. This neat looking player looks to be going for the less-is-more style in design and UI and doesn't suffer for it.
It's got a 4.3 inch 800 x 480 16 million color LTPS low-temperature polysilicon display with a viewing angle range of 170 ° and tailored for natural colour reproduction (although no mention of touchscreen but it's possible).
The RMVB (including RealVideo 8/9/10 coding), MKV (H.264 encoding), AVI, MOV, FLV, MPG, VOB, DAT, TS, etc. playback comes via the reliable HDMI interface.
No price or dates.

The mysterious Dell Streak / Mini 5 Internet tablet has cropped up in the Chinese electronics mecca Shenzhen and revealed some interesting details.
Thanks to this rogue piece of kit it's now closet to an official name, M01M, which was marked under the battery cover and not present from any previous mentions.
It has a 5 inch 800 x 480 touchscreen, Android 1.6, a 1GHz CPU, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, a 5 megapixel camera with duel-LED flash and a front-facing camera.
It cropped up at 7,500 Yuan / $1,098 so it's a big price to pay for info but it's nice someone has.

It's no surprise when fashion brands, music and technology mix and another textbook display is this admittedly pretty nicely packaged Hysteric Glamour set of earbuds.
What is a surprise is the $77 pricetag. Unless they've got some serious hardware inside you're really paying a lot to get the brand on your green or black headphones.

After endless speculation here it is - the Apple iPad. After the countless renders, guesses and questions it seems a bit of an anti-climax to see it finally - the best even Steve Jobs can offer is, "it just works." Inspiring words there, Steve.
Anyway - the lowdown. It does indeed look like a big iPod (no surprise there), it's .5 inches thick, weighs 1.5 pounds and has a 9l7 inch IPS display with full capacitive multitouch.
The guts are Apple's own 1GHz Apple A4 chip and storage options are 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
IT also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, accelerometer (for all that running you'll be doing with it?), compass, speaker, mic and 10 hours of battery life.
