Sony’s S1 And S2 Tablets Recieve Official Names

Sony’s two new Android tablets – the S1 and S2 – have now been given official names, but to be honost they’re nothing to run home about. The S1 – the 10-inch traditional looking tablet is now called the Sony Tablet S, and the S2 – the dual 5.5-inch screen tablet that closes in half and was awesomely dubbed ‘the clamshell’ is now called the Sony Tablet P. Whoop-de-doo… The Sony Tablet S may have at least some relevance to its name from their model name, however ‘Sony Tablet P’ can only be linked to possibly having the P stand for ‘Portable’, seeing as it is the more portable of the two. Either way, to comment again, they’re not the most exciting of names which is a shame because we find the tablets themselves to be rather cool and exciting.
