“That Day Has Come” Says Steve Jobs – Ex CEO Of Apple

The man within the Apple’s core – Steve Jobs has recently resigned from being the CEO of the major company. This resignation was sent by a letter via his public relations team, and has him not only announcing his resignation, but also his request for a Chairman of the Board position, and his recommendation of who should be Apple’s next CEO. You can read all this from his letter which you’ll find after the break.

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve

So it looks like we won’t be seeing the last of Steve Jobs, however the future of the company is still something to question. Will Tim Cook take Apple into newer and higher directions, or will the assuming tight fit of Job’s old office chair govern how Cook handles things, especially with Job possibly being very much on (the) board? Or, worse case scenario, the company blows up. At least Cook is starting his CEO career with an already dominating empire. As for us bloggers, we do what we do best – sit and wait to see if there’s anything we can then comment and criticise on.
