The Cregle PenBook Tablet – Windows 7 On The Inside, Window-like Design On The Out
The Cregle PenBook is a new tablet that sports Windows 7 OS. It also sports a rather modern, straight lined, window-like design. And as the name suggests, the tablet comes with a stylus, as well as an active digitizer for which to draw or write on, multi-touch support and palm rejection. Click after the break to find out more about the Cregle PenBook tab and its unique touch-sensitive boarder.
The PenBook tablet has a nice ‘n’ large 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. Diameter wise, its: 264 x 183 x 18mm. The chip that powers the PenBook is the low power Intel Atom Z530 processing chip clocked at 1.6GHz, which means the tablet should be able to hit its estimated battery life expectancy of around 6 hours on its massive 5000mAh battery. Which is also replaceable! The tablet also has 2 USB ports, a headphone jack, a built-in mic, speakers and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The PenBook also has a rather interesting feature where its top and bottom bezel panels are touch sensitive. They allow you to adjust certain options on the tablet like the brightness, or customise commands and keyboard combinations like page up and down, or ctrl+alt+Del, all with finger swipes and taps. There’s no word on the Cregle PenBook’s pricing or availability yet.
