Windows 8 In The Next Asus Eee Pad Transformer?

According to Notebook Italia, Asus has set their sights on Windows 8 to be the next platform for the next Eee Pad Transformer tablet. The original Android 3.0 Honeycomb bearing Eee Pad Transformer has been reigning supreme on the tablet world and luckily for us Android lovers, it’s not going to get stabbed in the back and left to die on the marble steps – Accompanying the new Windows 8 Transformer – set to come in 2012 – is a newer, follow-up Android Transformer. Both new renditions will be lighter and thinner than the original, and sources say that the newer Android model will even be priced at USD$399 again – the same price the original 16GB model was set at.  The new Windows 8 model will probably come with a higher price tag, it is Windows after all. With such promising tablets in the works,  it looks like Asus’ reign is not over yet – Appompay and their iPad 3 might want to watch out for this one.
