Video: Dream-like Teaser Trailers For The Sony S1 And S2
Sony has just released a second teaser trailer showing off their upcoming S1 and S2 tablets in a dark and dream-like manner. Perhaps a little creepy, but definitely artistic, the two odd but interestingly shaped tablets have certainly been represented in an odd… and interesting way. More on the trailers, plus the tab’s first teaser trailer after the break.
Despite their arty-fartyness, the teasers lets you scope out what these tablets will look like in the flesh, and shows you how the clam-like S2 opens (and shuts), revealing its dual 5.5-inch displays. You’ll also be able to notice the ‘subtle’ hint at the folded magazine shape of the S1 with… folded magazines and paper. The above video, titled “Two Will” focuses more on the S2, whereas the first teaser trailer for the new Sony tabs paints more of a picture on the both – a mysterious and ‘twilight-esque” (not the vampire/movie use of the word) picture with a fantastic use of silhouettes made to look like a city’s landscape using light against bottles, clotheline pegs, hair rolls and such. The great news is that there are more of these trailers to come!
Just to briefly fill you in on the specs of the S1 and S2: The S1 is a 9.4-inch tablet whereas the S2 uses two 5.5-inch displays that combines together into one, and has a resolution of 1024 x 480. They’re both powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processors and should be coming with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Both tablets are also Playstation certified meaning another excuse to stay in-doors this winter when they should already be out on the market Check out the S1 and S2′s first teaser trailer, titled “The First Impression” below.

[...] Sony’s two new Android tablets – the S1 and S2 – have now been given official names, but to be honost they’re nothing to run home about. The S1 – the 10-inch traditional looking tablet is now called the Sony Tablet S, and the S2 – the dual 5.5-inch screen tablet that closes in half and was awesomely dubbed ‘the clamshell’ is now called the Sony Tablet P. Whoop-de-doo… The Sony Tablet S may have at least some relevance to its name from their model name, however ‘Sony Tablet P’ can only be linked to possibly having the P stand for ‘Portable’, seeing as it is the more portable of the two. Either way, to comment again, they’re not the most exciting of names which is a shame because we find the tablets themselves to be rather cool and exciting. [...]
