Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Now Launches with Android 3.1

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – Samsung’s 10.1-inch Android tablet – has just had its spec sheet updated. The yet-to-be-launched tablet was to originally run Android Honeycomb 3.0, but is now upgraded to Android 3.1. This piece of news was confirmed by a Samsung rep who spread the news on the company’s facebook page. If you are not yet in the know, Android 3.1 brings with it better hardware acceleration for faster graphics performance, resizable home screen widgets, an improved app menu that shows up to 16 apps, USB host capabilities and more. So when will you be able to get your hands on an Android 3.1, 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab? The company is expecting to ship the tablets out come June 8th, although that date may now be pushed back due to the OS update. That or if Google surprises us all with an even newer Android version!

The old Android 2.2 7″ version is so damn expensive at BestBuy Canada right and makes the XOOM and Iconia a steal.

Cannot wait for the new models and sizes as there were two small sizes also.
