Itoos’ M16 Tablet Dualboots Android Gingerbread And Melis 3.0
The M16 tablet by itoos boots up two operating systems – Android 2.3 (Gungerbread) and Melis 3.0 OS (although we have not really come across Melis before). The tablet is marketed more for its media playback abilities with attributes such as 1080p video playback support and TV out which can then be controled via an infrared remote control. There’s actually not much else out on the device such as what processor, screen size or connectivity it has which makes this device questionable as to whether it is a tablet or a dualboot smart PMP. The M16 is said to be compatible with most of your common video, audio, image and text formats and should be able to handle Android game apps fine. The device itself looks basic and nice and actually, an awful lot like a portable media player. In fact, so blurred are the lines now-a-days separating a tablet with great media playback and a smart PMP that runs Android OS with WiFi connectivity, that maybe itoos are doing it right by simply calling it a ‘device’. More images after the break.
