Toshiba Unveils Regza Tablet AT300 With Glasses-Free 3D
Toshiba have unveiled their Regza Tablet AT300 in Japan recently, sporting Android 3.0 Honeycomb, powered by the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and coming with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) display capable of of outputting glasses-free 3D. We’re not sure how conducive glasses-free 3D is to prolonged usage, but it is certainly a pretty cool, if slightly gimmicky, feature. The tablet is otherwise decked-out with impressive specs: 16GB internal memory, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, b/g/n WiFi connectivity as well as Bluetooth and with SDHC expansion slots. The tablet measures up at 177x273x15.8mm and weighs a fairly heavy 765g. It should be introduced in Japan within a few weeks and will sell at around 60,000 Yen. It’s a solid tablet, powerful and modern, and while the glasses-free 3D is cool, the tablet will probably excel more at being a Honeycomb tablet than a 3D tablet.
