Sony’s 9.4-Inch and Dual 5.5-Inch Android Tabs – The S1 and S2
Sony have announced that they will be releasing two new Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets into the market come Autumn this year. Both will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor and will come with WiFi and 3G connectivity. The first – the S1 – is a 9.4-inch tablet that seems pretty solidly built if not a little thick. The second – the S2 – is the dual 5.5-inch screen tablet that we blogged about before, but instead runs Honeycomb OS as opposed to the previously stated Windows 7. The S2 also has a screen resolution of 1024 x 480, and both models will feature Sony’s Qrio Video and Audio VoD service as well as be Playstation Suite ready, so it can play PS1 games on the go. There’s no more specs out yet, but we’re hoping for more soon. You can check out a video that shows what the tablets look like as well as a small example of how they perform from the via link.
