Like A Makeshift iPad Laptop But Better – The Asus Transformer, According To Asus
An ad by Asus subtly (not really) mocks the Apple iPad by saying their Asus Eee Pad Transformer is like a taped up iPad and keyboard, but better. Although this did stir up some closed-mouthed giggles from us, it is not the first we’ve seen of Apple being bullied by its competitors: LG’s Optimus phone ad had them destroying an evil Apple, Toshiba openly made fun of them in their tablet ad and Motorola mockingly referenced Apple’s 1984 ad in their Xoom ad. Although not directly, the major tablet companies have compared their tablets to a ‘generic’ tablet that happens to resemble the iPad – all in the name of good competitive fun.
