Amazon Blaze To Be Powered By Qualcomm MSM8660?
The Blaze looks to be Amazon’s first offering in the Android smartphone market – and it’s quite an impressive first offering. With the dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 (1.2GHz) beneath its bonnet, the phone also features a 4.3-inch Mirasol display as well as 512MB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as a front-facing camera for video chat. The phone may also have a near field communications (NFC) chip for electronic point of purchase, which is amusing when one stops to consider that Amazon is predominately Internet-based. The most interesting part of this phone is the embedded solar panel on the back to recharge the battery – very nifty. The Blaze will run on Android 2.3 and will feature a custom UI. So far so cool.
