OMG FAIL: LG Optimus Pad Performs Poorly On Stage At LG Optimus Introduction

lg-omg-fail

LG have two Optimus devices that were shown on stage at this years Mobile Word Congress – the LG Optimus 3D smartphone and the (recently blogged) Optimus Pad tablet. The Optimus 3D is the first dual-core smartphone to be able to capture 3D as well as display it. The Optimus 3D also has HDMI- and DLNA-out and its Quadrant benchmark showed a score of 2958. The MWC introduction also included several promo clips for the device. Now to the juicy gossip – next up was the Optimus Pad, formally known as the G-Slate. During the tablets time in the lime-light, its video call function was showed off. However, to the dismay of LG, the image quality was not up to scratch and the video chat receiver could not be heard, which led to a prompt ‘goodbye’ and a wrap up of the tablets introduction to the world. Shame.
