Analysis Of Screen Size Trends Up To Feb 2011 (Sub 12-Inches)

There have been 5 previous reports on screen size trends within the German Market conducted by the popular price comparison engine Geizhals, with the last report done in August last year. This February 2011 report will be the sixth and clearly shows that 10-inch screens are the current choice size, and have been for a short while now. It would seem that with the introduction of touchscreen tablets (and holidays pertaining the giving/receiving of presents) that play video files and allows for video calls, the bigger the screen the better. Not too big though, you wouldn’t want to carry a television screen around with you. Other reasons for the trend would be the increased use of SSD’s and the large number of dual-core CPU’s now out as dual-core CPU’s make up around 30% of the 10- to 11.6-inch bracket. You can find a more in-depth analysis description on the graphs from the source below, however, please note that these stats are from a single data-source and is current for the German market only. It’s not a complete market survey. Second image and source after the break.
