iriver P100 IPS Launch Imminent
The official launch of iriver’s latest PMP offering, the P100 IPS, is imminent. With the tag line “Ultimate Study Player”, the 5-inch full 1080p HD MP4 player is looking very cool with, as the naming might suggest, presumably an IPS (In Plane Switching) LCD display panel. It looks as if the P100 IPS will have what is called a “Space UI” user interface design, but from the teaser shots above we can’t ascertain much. There will supposedly be HDMI-output and the P100 IPS will also come with WiFI connectivity – whether or not it will have a browser we do not know. It could be that the WiFi connectivity allows for connection to iriver’s online music store. Battery life is touted at 12 hours of video playback and roughly 52 hours of audio playback – not bad at all, though the 12 hour estimate is likely not for 1080p full HD videos.
