Samsung Galaxy S Clone Totally Underwhelming

samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-clone-1

This Samsung Galaxy S clone, the I9000, features some extremely underwhelming specs. Powered by the MTK6516 chip clocked at a lowly 416MHz, to go alongside 256MB RAM and a 512MB ROM in order to power Android 2.1, we’re all wondering why a higher clocking and better chip wasn’t used. We’re looking at pretty sluggish Android performance… at best. Bluetooth, WiFi and a 5-megapixel camera are all par for the course on this Eclair clone phone. A somewhat redeeming rumour is that the manufacturer is supposedly developing a firmware that will allow for dual boot of both the Android OS and Windows Mobile, though it is not alluded to what version of Windows Mobile… No information on price yet. If cloned phones could reach the pedigree that cheap Chinese tablets are at, it would make them a lot more appealing on the whole.
