Meizu M9 Hands On Videos Surface

The recently released Meizu M9 (and recently redesigned rewebsite) has been getting a lot of buzz, mostly because it is a viable iPhone / Galaxy S competitor, featuring impressive hardware internals (the same processor as the Galaxy S), Android 2.2, a customised UI and an elegant aesthetic that is bound to draw eye contact from even the most stubborn of spitefuls who refuse to give you the satisfaction by stealing a glance. After the break are hands on videos of the M9 in operation, from a look at the phone’s exterior to its menu operation, customised UI, multitouch image viewing and 1080p video playback. All looking stellar, and in keeping with Meizu’s sleek image. To refresh your memory on this smartphone’s specs: an ARM Cortex A8-based Samsung S5PC110 powers this phone, the same chip that is used by the Samsung Galaxy S. It has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 640 and runs Android 2.2, to go along with a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video recording. Videos after the break and are in Chinese.

First video: looksie looksie.

Second video: a look at the highly customised Android 2.2 UI, reminiscent of the Meizu M8.

Third video: image browsing, multitouch and a fast response speed.

Fourth video: 1080p video playback looks good.
