Freescale iMX515 Tablet Disassembled
This generic-shelled Freescale iMX515-powered tablet has been disassembled and we get a juicy look at the insides. Though the A8-based Freescale tablets have been underwhelming in performance and aesthetic, we still can’t pass up the chance to get a look at what makes this tab tick. Running Android 2.2, this tablet houses the Freescale iMX515 SoC, based on ARM Cortex A8-architecture, clocked at 800MHz to go along with 512MB RAM as well as a resistive touchpanel, coming in at 8-inches (800×600). Right, with that out of the way, let’s get down to business.
The 8-inch display with a resolution of 800×600.
Opening her up, we see the PCB, twin battery packs as well as speakers. It’s not particularly tidy, but who’s looking anyway?
Two batteries totally to 3500mAh. 1750mAh a piece.
We get a look at the mic, headphone jack, reset button and expansion card slot.
Here we get a look at the two RAM chips at 128MB capacity a piece, so there should be another two chips on the back of the PCB. DDR2 533 or 667.

Here is something curious. There is no on-board NAND flash memory. Instead, what the makers of this tablet have done is used an on-board MicroSD card slot and simply used a MicroSD card to make up internal memory. This probably has to do with pricing of NAND flash chips, or availability. Or both, relative to eachother, perhaps.
A SanDisk 4GB SD card is revealed. That wraps it up, folks.

Can i change a Internal Sd to a 16 GB?
Unfortunately, no. It seems that the SD card is glued in when we got a look inside.
Is not glued. I have change it by an 8gb sd card, but I have a problem. I have cloned the original 4gb sd by one 8gb with “clonezilla”, and the a8 start with the 8gb sd, it let me calibrate the screen but in this point it stops.
I have to check if some file is not copied in the new one.
Yes it seems that you may be missing an important file.
