Catching Up: Orange Romania Launches New Orange Tab

Orange Romania have launched a new Android tablet that they’ve titled ‘Orange Tablet” – an award for branching out with that one. The tablet is powered by the formidable 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon – revealed to us as the Orange Tablet is in fact a re-branded Huawei S7 – and has a 7-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 800 x 480. It has 8GB of internal memory, supports an external micro SD card slot and 720p video playback. As for its connectivity – HSDPA/HSUPA and WIFI. It comes with dual cameras as well as stereo speakers, a touch sensor button, an accelerometer (g-sensor), and uses a LI-Ion 2200 mAh battery. It comes complete with Android 2.1 and access to the marketplace, and Orange Romania are offering a 2 year contract that includes 100 text messages and unlimited internet access, among others. Orange Romania isn’t the only one marking it’s territory on Huawei’s product. Close neighbours Russian carrier MTC have also re-branded the S7 – and I guess everyone up north (from us anyway) likes that one particular design, which is I suppose why they get just as creative with their titles. Another image after the break.
