Amoi V19: E-Books & 1080P
It has been a recent trend that e-book readers come with 1080p video playback functionality – something we can’t really complain about. The Amoi V19 joins the ranks of the many that have been released (such as Viewsonic’s e-book reader or TMSON’s 6-incher). The Amoi V19 is a 7-inch e-book reader-first, 1080p capable player-second. It supports a wide variety of e-book formats, such as ePub, PDF, PDB, FB2, UMD etc. and also supports a wide range of video file formats such as MKV, AVI, RMVB, MOV etc. Other specs are as yet unknown, but we’re starting to wonder if these e-book reader PMPs are cookie-cutter cut from the same dough, featuring similar variations of internal hardware. In fact, there’s little doubt of that, but we’re wondering how far the rebranding goes. Either way, a solid choice and a fast-approaching standard for portable media players – written media.
